Started in the early 1980s, the Fellowship was created to use the volunteer ethic, of which St Matthews was generously endowed, to give more structure to the social side of Parish Life. A voluntarily manned bar more than pays for itself and helps to support many of the other organisations and work in the parish and beyond. Our membership includes Methodists and Roman Catholics and many other friends, all happy to pay their £2.00 membership subscription per year. The Parish Hall provides a home to many of the parish organisations and others. The Fellowship Lounge provides a comfortable, friendly atmosphere for members to spend an evenings company and a chat over a hot or cold drink. Over the years many alterations, extensions and improvements have been made to the premises and will continue to be made for the benefit of our members. All are welcome. Come and enjoy our hospitality any evening from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm, and dont forget, we cant have too many voluntary helpers!
