The Women's Fellowship provides the opportunity for the ladies of St Matthew's to meet together to share fellowship,
spiritually and socially. Meetings are held each Thursday at
in the Parish hall.
The second Thursday in each month is Evening Hour, a devotional meeting with hymns, prayers and a talk by a
guest speaker. On the last Thursday there is a service of Holy Communion in Church followed by tea and biscuits
in the Hall.
The other Thursdays in the month provide a varied programme of talks, demonstrations, quizzes etc. Highlights of the
Women's Fellowship year are a summer trip, a special Anniversary service at the beginning of November,
the Christmas Dinner and the Carol Service, accompanied by Pemberton Youth Band.
Members pay a weekly subscription of £1. Any profits are given, half to Church and half to Charity.
We are currently establishing closer ecumenical links with ladies of our neighbouring churches.
We extend a warm invitation to all ladies in the parish, to come and join our fellowship on any Thursday evening.
